Brain injury is reported to affect 10,000 people a year in Ireland. Occasionally following a brain injury people can display behaviours that challenge. Our service strives to provide best practice in working with people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and challenging behaviour.
Our brain injury service is called Redwood Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation Unit and we offer a very unique and much needed service in Ireland. We offer both residential and community based services for adults with an ABI. We have a unique rehabilitation model and we work with the more complex challenging behaviours that can be part of brain injury.
We have a very large multidisciplinary team and use an interdisciplinary approach, setting personal goals and behaviour management plans for each client.
