What will rehabilitation offer for someone with a brain injury?

My partner is 5 years post injury, and since the injury has made a good physical recovery but finds some day to day tasks difficult to do. Will this ever improve and would rehabilitation be of any benefit to them?

Will they ever get back to normal?

Why do they act like a child now?

Why do they remember some things and not others?

Is there anything that can be done to fix the problem?

Before the injury my partner would have been eager to play with the kids, but now they just ignore them. Why is that?
